ANIMALS AND VERB HAVE GOT

In this unit, we are learning about animals and parts of their bodies, as well as, learning how to describe them, using the verb "have got".

BABY ANIMALS

This week we continued working on animals. We started the week reviewing some contents of previous lessons. 

Here, students had to draw something about what the teacher said.

Then, we continued learning the names of some baby animals.

We played "Are you my mother?". Students had to ask this question and find the correct animal. Then, they made the puzzle.

VERTEBRATE AND INVERTEBRATE ANIMALS

Vertebrate animals have an internal skeleton, like tigers.

 Invertebrate animals don't have a skeleton, as a starfish.

HERBIVORE, CARNIVORE AND OMNIVORE ANIMALS

As you know, we are learning about animal kingdom. This week, we learnt the differences between HERBIVORE, CARNIVORE and OMNIVORE animals.

We made some puzzles, working in teams. Then, we also played "the basketball game". Children had to throw the ball and try to score a basket in order to say the name of the animal and classify into herbivore, carnivore or omnivore animal, depending on its nutrition.

Como sabéis, estamos aprendiendo acerca del mundo animal. Esta semana, aprendimos las diferencias entre animales HERBÍVOROS, CARNÍVOROS y OMNÍVOROS.

Hicimos algunos puzzles, trabajando en equipo. Después, también jugamos al "juego del baloncesto". Los niños tenían que lanzar la pelota e intentar encestar para decir el nombre del animal y clasificarlo en animal herbívoro, carnívoro u omnívoro, dependiendo de su nutrición.

ANIMALS SURVEY

This week we started to learn about the animal world in year 1.

We started the topic with a survey. Each student put his/her name on his/her favourite animal of some of them and then, we counted the number of each chosen animal in order to know the result.

Esta semana empezamos a trabajar el mundo animal en primero de primaria.

Empezamos el tema con una encuesta. Cada alumn@ puso su nombre encima de su animal favorito, de algunos seleccionados. Después contamos el número de cada animal para saber el resultado.

The winner animal in 1ºA was the rabbit and the winner animal in 1ºB was the cat.

El animal ganador en 1ºA fue el conejo y en 1ºB fue el gato.

Then, we listened to these songs and we drew and wrote the name of our favourite animal.
