ESCAPE ROOM

Students have participated in a Escape Room or Breakout Edu, since we didn't escape from any closed space of the school. Our school is a free and open space for all of us.

They had to solve different challenges to reach the final goal that it was the teacher's key.

Firstly, our children have read a text taken from the mystery box, and then they have watched an introductory video.

Then, they have passed for different stations.

In station one, they had to find a code between the folders to decipher a message.

In station two, they had to solve a problem. Firstly, they had to find an envelope under the tables.

In station three, they had to scan a QR code, go to that place and find an envelope with the instructions. In this station, they had to order some words to make sentences, using the light of an invisible ink pen.

In station four, our students had to go to the game corner and find another envelope with the challenge. Here, they had to use a mirror to read some descriptions, write the answer down and check their answers in the English corner of our corridor.

In station number five, children had to find a box that it was ON a speaker. Then, they listened to the message and went to look for the activity inside the cupboard.
In this activity, students had to match sentences in halves and correct the mistake of each one orally.

The last station was number six. Our pupils had to make a puzzle to know where the box was. It was next to the school garden.

Finally, they took the box, and they unlocked it, following the instructions to open each lock.

And we solved the mystery of the teacher's key!

WALKIE TALKIES

Yesterday we played a game using walkie talkies.
We had to match definitions with the correct picture of the object.

One group was in the class and had to read the clues to the other team, using our walkie talkies. The other team was in the playground, and they had to findthe correct picture of that definition.

Then, we changed roles.

THE ALPHABET GAME!

Our students have been playing to "the alphabet game" by means of different questions in order to review the content of the whole year.
It was really fun!

STORY CUBES

Students in year 6 have created some stories using story cubes. Then, they have written their stories and after that, they have read them using different voices.

It was so much fun!!

PHYSICAL CHANGE vs CHEMICAL CHANGE

In Science 3, we have been learning about physical and chemical changes.
We did an experiment and we classified each one.

First, we start with a mixture...

Then, we mix...

Secondly, we put water and salt in a paper plate and we put a nail on.

After waiting some days, the nail has changed due to the oxidation process.

We also mixed vinegar and baking soda.

Another change we observed was a candle which changes from solid to liquid state when we set fire to it.

The same happened with an ice cube...

Finally, we put water in a bag and after a day it had started to evaporate.

The last one was the apple's experiment. We cut an apple and we saw how its color changed in a while, following the oxidation process.

OUR CLASSIFICATION WAS THE FOLLOWING ONE:

We are still waiting to see the changes in the experiment with bread...

Here, you can watch other experiments about physical and chemical changes:
